In this month's newsletter, we share why it's so important to refresh your knowledge, highlight some great news from our partners and explain why we need to pay more attention to women and CPR.
Time for a refresh
Are you up to speed on the latest resuscitation guidelines?
Back in January, we shared updates on basic life support for newborns, children and adults, as well as drowning response, mental health awareness and more.
If you’re need an update on any of these, now’s the time to book a half-day refresher course.
Get in touch today to secure your session. It could save a life.
It’s not good enough
Did you know women wearing bras are 27% less likely to receive CPR when they need it?
It may feel uncomfortable, but removing a bra can be life-saving.
For a defibrillator to work effectively, pads must be placed on bare skin: one under the right collarbone, the other on the left side under the armpit.
The charity Bra Off, Defib On is working to change this shocking statistic – one bra at a time.

A proud moment
We've been supporting the West Midlands Casualty Simulation Group for a while now and we're delighted to say they are now registered as a charity.
For over 30 years, they've provided realistic trauma and first aid scenarios for emergency services and training providers.
Follow the group on LinkedIn and Facebook and get in touch with Elaine Hann to find out more or become a volunteer casualty.
Ever experienced this?
As it’s Stress Awareness Month, we’re highlighting one of the most overlooked workplace challenges.
Nearly 1 million UK workers experienced work-related stress in 2024–25, leading to 22.1 million lost working days.
Common causes include excessive workloads, poorly managed change and lack of support, but the good news is it’s often preventable.
Use this month to start conversations and take practical action. You can read about our mental health training options here.
Are you prepared?
Hotel and hospitality venues, this one’s for you.
Across March and April, we delivered emergency preparedness consultancy to five venues, covering first aid and emergency evacuation procedures.
With Martyn’s Law now in effect, organisations must take greater responsibility for public safety, including meeting training requirements based on venue capacity.
Our three-hour Bleed Control Kit Training gives you everything you need, to be prepared when a real emergency situation happens and includes a free kit with every booking.
