It all started with a single enquiry and a shared passion for public safety. 

We're delighted to be partnering with The Daniel Baird Foundation and Turtle Medical to promote public access bleed control kits, helping more people gain the knowledge and confidence to respond when every second counts. 

The sessions delivered promote the great work that the foundation continues to achieve and enables their vision to "make public access bleed control kits as common and as recognisable as public access defibrillators". 

At the end of May, we supported the West Midlands Casualty Simulation Group as they provided an immersive training hub for Iqarus, a demo for VIPs from a foreign military organisation. 

It was certainly a full-on few days, consisting of active shooters and explosions, giving a truly realistic experience of scenarios these VIPs could find themselves in.

That wasn't the end of our work supporting the Casualty Simulation Group in May. 

We also worked alongside the Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service, West Mercia Police and a host of other rescue and medical services to deliver two multi-agency realistic plane crash scenarios. 

It's always a pleasure to support our partners and help provide experiences that prepare these professionals for real-life scenarios, down to the smallest details. 

When you think of training, it's probably often fire safety, first aid or CPR that springs to mind. 

But mental health first aid is just as important. 

It's Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year's theme is action. It's a great chance to do those things that help you put your mental health first, whether it's getting active, prioritising your sleep, spending time with friends or simply having more positive conversations at work. 

It's also the perfect opportunity to get your team trained on mental health first aid! 

Just like with our other training courses, you could save a life. 

The Government has now confirmed the Security Industry Authority (SIA) will oversee the new regulatory requirements introduced under Martyn's Law. 

The legislation is designed to improve public safety by ensuring certain venues are better prepared to respond to terrorist incidents and major emergencies. 

You may be required to review procedures, improve staff awareness and strengthen emergency response planning. 

This is especially relevant for sectors such as hospitality, events, education and leisure, where preparedness and coordinated response can make a significant difference.

Plans have also been announced to introduce Benedict's Law, with new allergy guidance for schools expected to become statutory from September 2026. 

The changes are designed to improve allergy awareness and help education settings respond more effectively to anaphylaxis emergencies. 

The guidance focuses on: 

• Staff allergy awareness training
• Emergency response procedures
• Access to adrenaline auto-injectors
• Clear allergy management policies

If you work with young people, it's time to review current procedures and ensure staff feel confident responding in an emergency. 

It's Drowning Prevention Week from 13 to 20 June, and it's a welcome reminder to check Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines and ensure you're on top of the most recent updates. 

The 2025 update clarifies that cardiac arrest from drowning is caused by hypoxia, a reversible cause. 

You should now: Give five initial rescue breaths before starting chest compressions.
