This qualification is part of our Eden Custom Training First Aid group of courses. The training and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:

The First Aid Awareness course is for:

• People who deal with first aid at work under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

The training course will give learners the confidence to deal with a range of first aid situations.

This course is part of the Qualsafe Awards (QA) First Aid group of qualifications. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:

• The Resuscitation Council (UK)
• The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework
• A distinguished panel of experts in emergency medical care

The Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF):

• Is for people who are required to provide emergency first aid to infants and/or children, enabling them to have skills and knowledge of how to deal with paediatric first aid.
• Is based on the EYFS syllabus for emergency first aid courses.
• Outlines a range of practical skills for giving first aid to infants and children. Learners will practise assessing and managing an incident and demonstrate how to treat a variety of serious conditions.

The qualification will prepare learners to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations when looking after infants and children.

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) (Requalification):

• Is for people who deal with first aid at work, enabling them to be workplace first-aiders under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
• Is based on the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) training standard for delivery of first aid at work (FAW) courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

Learners will become confident to deal with a range of first aid situations and/or take on the role of first-aider in the workplace.

Qualification overview

This qualification forms part of the QA First Aid suite of qualifications. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:

• A distinguished panel of experts in emergency medical care

This qualification will enable Learners to attain the practical competencies needed to provide basic life support (BLS), safely use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and manage a casualty with anaphylaxis. This course is:

• For people who wish to attain the practical competencies needed to provide basic life support (BLS), safely use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and manage a casualty with anaphylaxis

The training course will give learners the confidence to deal with BLS interventions, safely use an AED and provide treatment for anaphylaxis in an emergency.
