    The Level 1 Award in Introduction to Mental Health in the Workplace (RQF) is for people who want to:
    • Raise their awareness of mental health problems associated with work and everyday life and how they can potentially improve their own mindfulness.
    Participants will learn about the principles of mental health and mental illness, and about mental health conditions such as depression and suicide. And they'll build an understanding of stress. Learners will also be taught about the use of appropriate language when supporting others and the importance of self-care to potentially improve their own mental health.

    The Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace (RQF) is for people who want to:
    • Raise their awareness of the signs and symptoms associated with mental health problems, both related to the workplace and in the general public.
    • Direct anyone with potential mental health problems to a reliable source of support, both internally and externally.
    The course will educate learners about common mental health illnesses such as depression, stress, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harming and suicide. The qualification includes how to listen to others and give advice on signposting them to expert support to help them in difficult times.

    The Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF) is for people who want to:
    • Raise their awareness of the signs and symptoms associated with mental health problems, both related to the workplace and in the general public.
    • Be able to actively listen and feel confident to have a conversation with individuals suffering potential mental ill-health.
    • Be able to assist with policy writing and risk assessments for mental health in the workplace.
    • Direct anyone with potential mental health problems to a reliable source of support, both internally and externally.
    Participants will learn about common mental health problems related to work, such as stress, depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Successful candidates will qualify to take on a role as a Mental Health First Aider.
