Bleed Control Kit Training
Course overview
This training is part of our Eden Custom Training Pre-Hospital Care suite of courses. The training and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of the:
- Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE)
- Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care
The Bleed Control Kit Training is:
- For people who want to increase their knowledge and skills for dealing with a catastrophic bleed.
Learners will gain the confidence to deal with catastrophic bleeding in an emergency.
Course content
What’s covered?
The 3-hour course covers:
- Managing personal and scene safety
- Identifying a catastrophic bleed
- Contents of a bleed control kit and how to safely use them
- Applying direct pressure
- Wound packing
- Safe use of haemostatic dressings
- Safe use of tourniquets
- Use of trauma dressings
Who’s it for?
This course is for people to increase their knowledge and skills in life-saving interventions when dealing with a catastrophic bleed.
Entry requirements
Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training and be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
Requalification
Learners aren't required to renew this training. However, it's recommended they keep up to date with current best practice.

3 hours.
The learner must attend all sessions before a certificate of attendance can be issued.

£400 + VAT per group of up to 12 learners.
